Duties:
A database administrator (DBA) analyze, creates, test, install or updates DB servers as well as development tools. It also Observe the allotment of storage, network and processor resources to all DBMS.
The db administrator is responsible for ensuring DB availability and security. It is also responsible for backup and recovery in case of requirement. Its mandate is to design, develop, maintain and availability of databases.
Experience:
- Applicants have experience in following
- At least 2 or 3 years of experience as DBA;
- Troubleshooting of database issues;
- Working of Oracle RDBMS or Microsoft SQL Server platforms
- Installation, upgrade, patching or configuring
- Unix / Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Programming using PL/SQL and/or T-SQL
