The Canada center for mapping and earth observation is a part of NRC. It was launched in 1970. The agency works closely with non governmental organizations for the development of GIS framework.

It develop remote sensing applications and technology. Now it is hiring as a junior remote sensing scientist. Duties and skills of selected candidates are following:

Duties:

Jr Remote sensing data scientist plays vital role in the research of image processing technologies for analysis and mapping. It is responsible of testing and development for computerized removal/detection of land due to mining processes and provides baseline information of hydro-graphics network in large areas. The data scientist provides help for developing new sensing devices like drones and satellite missions.

Experiences / Skills:
  • Skills to write computer program for data analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of remote sensing and related software’s.
  • Good communication skills.
