The duties of an engineer are to:
- Help, supervise, and review relevant Railway Safety Act, Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines on railway foundation (track or platforms) matters.
- Provide professional advice to local railway safety inspectors on design and regulatory matters.
- Also, Lead special working groups to ensure the continuous growth of review programs, regulatory tools, and best exercises.
- Manage a class of plans to support rail safety’s commission.
The Canada Transportation Division was established in 1935 by the state. Its mission was to develop rules and procedures. It was also a joint enterprise of three departments: Railway and canals and marine and civil aviation branches.
