Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada is the state owned federal agency. It is responsible for designing policies for northern areas as well as for two departments namely indigenous peoples in Canada and indigenous services Canada. About the department:

The department of indigenous and northern affairs Canada was restructured in Aug 2017 and replaced by two different departments likewise indigenous services Canada and crown indigenous relations and northern affairs Canada. Both of the new agencies are compatible with 1996 royal commission to improve the services.
